Kirstie (left) and Aisling (right) are sisters in product obsession as well as actually sisters in real life. Both have a long-running love for all things cosmetic and both will admit to being complete suckers for a glossy advertising campaign. In addition to ensuring that Beaut.ie is Ireland's number one daily resource for all things gorgeous, they're busy ladies. Aisling is the author of the best-selling Beaut.ie Guide to Gorgeous - it's in all good bookshops right now, or you can buy online. She is the Sunday Times Ireland beauty columnist and also regularly contributes to TV, radio, print and other media. Kirstie is a freelance beauty writer and currently contributes to Confetti and Prudence magazines. Previously to that, she's held the positions of Image magazine beauty editor, Sunday Tribune beauty editor, Evening Herald columnist and Irish Independent Weekend beauty editor. The pair are ably joined in their Beaut.ieful endeavours by contributors who add their own personalities, product recommendations and tips and tricks to the mix. Since September 2006, Beaut.ie has been Ireland's premier online resource for women who are into cosmetics and makeup, and who enjoy a bit of banter in a welcoming, supportive environment, making the site a buzzy, fun place to be. Witty editorial voices, engaging content and telling-it-like-it-is add up to a site

The trouble with beauty blogs though is that most of them are located in the USA; some are fabulous, some not so. But it does mean we end up reading reviews on products we don't have a hope of getting our hands on here in the UK unless we buy a one way ticket to NY. While the big cosmetic houses are international, the small, cult, kookie brands aren't. Doesn't stop us wanting them though! So, I'll mainly stick with products we can get hold of quite easily, although I may be tempted into the odd deviation here and there! The next problem with blogs is that because they are now cooler than ice, beauty companies are actually courting us - meaning piles of free stuff for the bloggers that will invariably stop smartish if there are any negative comments. So how do beauty addicts get a true fix, that's unbiased, and won't ever be swayed by corporate gifts (only, guys, don't make it a handbag because that would be a real ethical dilemma!)? Well, as I already work in the beauty industry, I don't need freebies. In 7 years, there's little I haven't already tried and tested.
Hello, my name is Charlotte and am an uncomplicated cosmetics junkie from the UK. I am 29 years old and a mum to my adorable 22 month old daughter. Married to my lovely long suffering husband of 7 years who spends far more time than he'd like trailing around after me in Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams. Because of this, he has perfected a totally natural and unforced ;can we go home now look. Aside from this beauty-related fluff and my gorgeous family... my other great love in life is photography. You can see some of my photography here. I shoot with a Canon 50D and mainly use a Tamron 17-50mm lens for blog photos. I shoot my indoor shots with an external flash but no light boxes. I did a post about lighting here. If you're thinking of dropping on amaze DSLR, I would also recommend spending a couple of months learning how to use it. I wish I received more questions that said Hey, can you recommend any resources where I can learn how to use my camera? rather than just Hai, what camera do you use?. I am crap getting better at applying make up, I am crap fabulous at applying nail polish, I am rubbish getting more disciplined at remembering to use moisturiser on anything other than my face and I am too self employed and poor to afford gorgeous high end brands .

Hi I am Carla, a 32 year-old single woman living in Seattle. I am obsessed with beauty products, iPhone apps, the internet and Twilight. I am fueled by non-fat grande vanilla lattes from Starbucks and good perfume tends to brighten my day. During the day I work for a small company in accounts receivable but by night I am a beauty editor for Product Girl, which I use as an excuse to go shopping every weekend. I like to call it research for the career I would like to have one day. I obsess over my eyebrows and always have a Bonne Belle Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker on me... in case of an emergency.
